So you’ve made the decision you’d like a career in teaching. All that remains is for you to complete your application. You will need to apply for the appropriate programme through the DFE Apply for Teacher Training website. Type in the Training Provider box, “Leicestershire Secondary SCITT”.

This is the link that you need to APPLY NOW.

The SCITT Core route and Rushey Mead School Direct are identical. However, as they are listed separately on DFE, there are separate codes.

The Ash Field School Direct route is a blended SEND route. This means that you will spend one placement at a school that supports students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will also have a mainstream school placement. This route does not restrict what you can teach in which schools, however allows you to develop an extensive bank of strategies to support any students that have SEND requirements.
