Meet the SCITT Team
Teacher of Humanities
Davinder has many years of experience working as both a teacher, Senior Teacher and in Initial Teacher Education. She also was an Ofsted Inspector for 7 years.
With such a wealth of experience behind her, Davinder is ideally placed to continue our development and ensure our training programme provides the best opportunities for any teacher to really excel.
Teacher of Art
Jolan is an Art Teacher, Specialist Leader in Education (SLE), previously Lead Subject Tutor (DT) and has been Head of Department.
In addition to all of these roles, Jolan was also an Advanced Skills Teacher (AST) and has extensive experience support and developing great teachers.
Teacher of History
Ashley is an award winning History Teacher and Middle Leader, at Rushey Mead Academy, Deputy Programme Director for the SCITT and the Lead Subject Tutor for History (LST).
In addition to these, he is also a Specialist Leader in Education (SLE) and Designated OLEVI Person (DOP).
Teacher of PE
Craig began his career as a Primary School Teacher, having graduated with degrees in Sport. He became a Middle Leader for PE and Computing, before moving across to become a Secondary PE Teacher, at Rushey Mead Academy.
In addition to teaching, he is responsible for the ongoing development of the Leicestershire Secondary SCITT and works with trainees as they begin their journey in teacher training.
Graham Pickering Programme Administrator
Graham is a Cricket Umpire and Trainer, bringing many years of experience within systems administration. He is ready to help trainees set up their systems and resolve any issues they may have.
Huzaifah Patel –
Huzaifah became a permanent member of the Team, having successfully completed his Business Administration Apprenticeship with us. With his detailed knowledge of the UCAS application process, he is the first port of call to support aspiring trainee teachers.
